My dearest Grandson as you take your first steps, your parents and grandparents will rejoice, because we know that pretty some you will be running around discovering new things. Our job is to protect you from too much curiosity, which can lead to dangerous situations.  We have to be able to help guide your steps. so that you will be safe! 

Your grandfathers may also have wobbly legs, and balance issues. So we know the challenge that is ahead of you. However, you will master this journey, while we will be slowing down..... don't LOL at our struggles, too much, and we will not make fun of your struggles.  When my father, your great grandfather was alive he often said: "Once a man, twice a child" I now know what he meant... Hopefully you will enjoy your childhood better than he did his second childhood. 

So keep laughing because: The sound of children laughing genuinely is one of life’s most beautiful sounds. Whether it’s straight from the belly, a loud chuckle or a full-throated laugh, anyone listening to it can smile at the sound. It also makes one feel liberated and alive and fills one up with joy. Truly said, laughter is indeed the best medicine. Here are some widespread ways in which children can reap the benefits of their own laughter.

Mi querido nieto mientras das tus primeros pasos, tus padres y abuelos se regocijarán, porque sabemos que muchos estarás corriendo por ahí descubriendo cosas nuevas. Chapter six developing a good relationship with grandsons

  Since we were once boys, we expect to have a natural relationship with our grandsons; we may be somewhat alike, and we are likely to enjoy some of the same activities. Still, we need to be intentional about building a close connection with our grandsons and raising them up as young men of character. We can help give them a healthy model of what it means to be a boy, a man, a father, and even a grandfather some day. Grandsons need a grandfather who is thinking about their future and taking action to prepare them for that future— Our grandsons need reference points, and usually, actions speak louder than words. Living a responsible lifestyle can impact our grandchildren and their children for generations. That’s the kind of power our example can have.
